Celtics will pursue Blake Griffin in free agency
The Boston Celtics' top free agent targets this summer include forwards Blake Griffin and Gordon Hayward according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Getting Griffin to Boston would be huge and Wojnarowski says the team is planning on trying very hard to pry him away from the Clippers. Griffin would have to turn down a lot of money and an extra year if he left Los Angeles, but teaming up with Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford might be an appealing move for Griffin.
Griffin is coming off averaging 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.9 steals and 1.0 steals over 34.0 minutes per game. He was limited to only 61 games, but his nERD of 7.3 ranked 26th among all players.
