Cavaliers could start Iman Shumpert in Game 3
Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith could be benched in favor of guard Iman Shumpert in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
Smith was encouraged to be more aggressive before Game 2 and he ended up playing even worse than his dud in Game 1. Down 0-2 and facing a huge game back at home, Shumpert could be called on to start with Smith serving as extra scoring off the bench.
Shumpert is averaging 4.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals over 17.6 minutes per game in the playoffs. He has a 51.8 effective field goal percentage over 14 postseason appearances.
