Marcus Smart thrives as a starter, Boston takes Game 3
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart played 41 minutes as a starter on Sunday, scoring a career-high 27 points to go with 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block as Boston took Game 3 111-108 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Smart was starting in place of Isaiah Thomas (hip), and it sounds like Thomas may be facing a lengthy absence, meaning Smart should continue to play a big role for Boston moving forward. The Celtics are down 2-1 in the series, and Game 4 will take place in Cleveland on Tuesday.
Smart finished Sunday's win with a team-high 27.9 nERD, per numberFire Live.
