JaVale McGee plays well in Warriors' start, scores 16
Golden State Warriors center JaVale McGee started for Zaza Pachulia (heel) in Game 3 on Saturday, scoring 16 points with one rebound and one block in 13 minutes.
McGee led the Warriors in scoring with 16 points in the first half. McGee made San Antonio Spurs big LaMarcus Aldridge look arguably the worst he has all season while McGee didn't make many defensive mistakes. He was pulled somewhat early in the second half after a strong start from Aldridge, so maybe that's why. Expect McGee to start again for Game 3 with Zaza banged up.
McGee's 11.64 nERD was second-best among all Warriors players, per numberFire Live.
