Spurs starting Jonathon Simmons in place of Kawhi Leonard in Game 2
San Antonio Spurs forward Jonathon Simmons will draw the start in place of Kawhi Leonard (ankle) in Game 2 versus the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
Leonard re-aggravated his sprained ankle on Sunday and will sit out Tuesday, giving him five full days of rest in anticipation of playing in Game 3. Simmons scored 18 points in his last start in place of Kawhi and will be a favorite DFS play. Manu Ginobili and Dejounte Murray will see extra minutes in Game 2 as well.
numberFire's models project Simmons for 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 33.4 minutes of action on Tuesday.
