John Wall drops 42 points in Wizards' series-clinching win in Atlanta

Washington Wizards guard John Wall scored a playoff career-high 42 points during a series-clinching 115-99 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, adding one rebound, eight assists, four steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 44 minutes.

What It Means:

Wall could not be stopped this entire series and Game 6 was just a culmination of his dominance. He and Bradley Beal combined for 73 points in a statement win over the Hawks in Game 6 and they now have a quick turnaround as Game 1 of their series with the Boston Celtics starts Sunday afternoon. Wall's matchup with Isaiah Thomas is going to be a good one.

Wall is averaging 29.5 points, 10.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals over 38.7 minutes per game this postseason. He owns a superb .563 effective field goal percentage in the playoffs, while his nERD of 5.6 from this regular season ranked 35th among all players.
