Hawks lose Game 6 despite 31 points from Paul Millsap

Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap scored 31 points with 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block, 4 steals and 1 3-pointer in 46 minutes during a season-ending 115-99 loss to the Washington Wizards on Friday.

What It Means:

Millsap was one of the only consistent offensive weapons for the Hawks in this series, but even his 31 points could not overcome a huge game from John Wall and Bradley Beal, who combined for 73 points in Game 6. Millsap is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer and while the Hawks will almost surely try to re-sign him to max money, he will receive a lot of interest on the open market.

Millsap finished the regular season averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals over 34.0 minutes per game. He owned a career-worst .481 effective field goal percentage, but he upped it to .520 in the playoffs. His 3.5 nERD was 65th in the NBA this season.
