Pacers considering starting Lance Stephenson at shooting guard in 2017-18

The Indiana Pacers are "open" to the idea of guard/forward Lance Stephenson starting at shooting guard next season, head coach Nate McMillan said.

What It Means:

Stephenson may have saved his career after his move back to the Pacers. After a solid finish to the regular season, he was even better in the playoffs. "We really needed that boost, that energy, that kind of passion," McMillan said. Still only 26 years old, Stephenson has an excellent chance to hit the ground running in 2017-18.

Stephenson averaged 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 50.9 percent shooting in the playoffs this year.
