Rockets' Patrick Beverley fined for altercation with fan
Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for an altercation with a fan after Game 3 on Friday.
Beverley was knocked down after attempting a layup and fell at the feet of a fan, later identified as the son of Oklahoma City Thunder minority owner Jay Scarmucci. The two had words for each other, and following the game, Beverley went back to confront Scarmucci. The Rockets' guard will not be suspended and will be available to play Sunday in Game 4.
Beverley struggled in Game 3, scoring just one point after averaging 18.0 points in Games 1 and 2.
