Marc Gasol's postseason career-high 32 points not enough for Memphis in Game 1
Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol scored a playoff career-high 32 points during a 111-82 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, adding five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
Despite barely shooting above 40% from the floor in four regular season games against the Spurs, Gasol caught fire in Game 1 and easily posted a playoff career high. However, outside of him and Mike Conley, the Grizzlies couldn't find offense anywhere. After Memphis got a lead in the first quarter, the Spurs outscored the Grizzlies 86-52 in the final three quarters.
Our models project Gasol for 20.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists over 36.3 minutes on Monday in Game 2.
