Hawks' Taurean Prince scores a career-high in first NBA start
Atlanta Hawks small forward Taurean Prince drew the first start of his career on Sunday, matching his career-high with 17 points and adding 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 1 block and 2 3-pointers in 38 minutes of action as the Hawks fell 107-92 to the Brooklyn Nets.
Prince has seen his role increase in a big way since the All-Star break, especially as the Hawks deal with injuries to Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefolosha. He has averaged 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.0 minutes per game in that span.
Prince finished Sunday's loss with a team-high 13.8 nERD, per numberFire Live, which brings his season-long mark to a -1.4.
