Karl-Anthony Towns posts dud in Timberwolves' runaway loss
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns scored 16 points with five rebounds and one block in 31 minutes during a 112-100 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
It's been a long, long time since KAT had a dud like this one. In fact, the 21 combined points and boards are his lowest since November 23. Over his games prior to this one since the break, Towns averaged 28.1 points, 13.9 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 threes. The Wolves are all-but-eliminated from playoff contention, but despite this KAT is headed for a monster finish.
Towns was responsible for a lackluster -- and shockingly fifth-best among teammates to play at least 20 minutes -- -13.50 nERD on the night.
