Ricky Rubio's double-double is not enough as Wolves fall to Lakers in overtime
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio scored 19 points on 5-of-13 shooting with 15 assists, three rebounds, three steals, one block and one triple in Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Even with the Wolves quickly falling out of playoff contention, Rubio has continued to play well in big minutes. Tom Thibodeau also deployed more two point guard lineups with Kris Dunn and Tyus Jones both playing more minutes on Friday. Expect Rubio to still be playing minutes into the mid 30s on Saturday as the Wolves travel to Portland.
Our models project Rubio for 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 2.0 steals over 35.5 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.
