Knicks will be shorthanded on Thursday as three players are ruled out
The New York Knicks will be without forward Carmelo Anthony (sore left knee), point guard Derrick Rose (sore right foot) and forward Lance Thomas (sore hip) on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Rose and Thomas both were injured during Wednesday's loss to the Utah Jazz, while Anthony is getting extra rest. Justin Holiday, Chasson Randle and Mindaugas Kuzminskas will see extra time against the Blazers. None are strong fantasy plays, though. Kristaps Porzingis will shoulder a heavy offensive load on Thursday.
Porzingis was projected for 16.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks, by our algorithms, before word came down of the trio's absence on Thursday.
