76ers remain hopeful that Joel Embiid will return this season
Philadelphia 76ers general manager Bryan Colangelo remains hopeful that Joel Embiid (knee) will return to the court this season, according to the team's broadcast.
Embiid has been ruled out indefinitely with the knee issue, and while the team may be "hopeful" for a return, don't expect them to rush the 22-year-old back into the lineup before he has fully healed up.
Through his first 31 NBA games, Embiid is averaging 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, 2.5 blocks and 1.2 3-pointers per contest in only 25.4 minutes per game. His 0.8 nERD this season ranks just outside of the NBA's top-100 players and is second on the 76ers.
