Mason Plumlee double-doubles in Nuggets' win
Denver Nuggets forward/center Mason Plumlee went off from the bench on Friday, scoring 12 points in 23 minutes, with 12 rebounds and eight assists against the Brooklyn Nets.
Head coach Mike Malone loved what he saw. "He was unbelievable tonight," Malone said. "This is the Mason Plumlee that we envisioned." The coach added how much he liked the screens set as well. Plumlee's not going to unseat Jokic and the foul trouble for the young superstar explains the added minutes for Plumlee. Jokic and Plumlee have played together for just three minutes in the last two games combined, so that's a big negative for MP going forward.
Plumlee's 18.1 percent Usage Rate is the 14th-lowest among the 29 centers to average at least 20 minutes per game this year. He has added 2.3 nERD, however -- the 71st-most in the NBA.
