DeMarcus Cousins goes off in his first game as a Pelican

New Orleans Pelicans forward/center DeMarcus Cousins went 11-of-19 from the field on Thursday, racking up 27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocks in 35 minutes of action as the Pelicans were blown out by the Houston Rockets.

This was Cousins' first game since being traded to the Pelicans, and despite the blowout loss, he showed a lot of promise. Cousins averaged 27.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in 55 games with the Kings to start the season.

Cousins posted a team-high 28.9 nERD in Thursday's loss, making him the only Pelicans player with a nERD above 0 in the game, per numberFire Live. He also ranks 22nd in the NBA with a 6.1 nERD on the year.
