Wizards land Bojan Bogdanovic in trade with Nets
The Washington Wizards will acquire guard/forward Bojan Bogdanovic and power forward Chris McCullough from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for power forward Andrew Nicholson, point guard Marcus Thornton and a lottery-protected 2017 first-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
The Wizards had their targets set on Lou Williams, but they wound up settling on Bogdanovic, whose fantasy value will experience a swift death in Washington. Jeremy Lin's (hamstring) return will impact the Nets' rotation, but Thornton, Caris LeVert, Sean Kilpatrick and Joe Harris could all see an uptick in minutes as a result of Bogdanovic's departure.
Bogdanovic has started all but one game for the Nets this season, averaging 14.2 points and 1.8 3-pointers with 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 44.0 percent from the floor. His -3.4 nERD ties him at 435th out of 463 NBA players.
