Chris Paul (thumb) cleared for Clippers, could play Thursday
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul (thumb) has been cleared to return and could play Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.
Paul was originally set to return in early March, but it sounds like he's going to easily beat that date. Head coach Doc Rivers said CP3 looked good in practice, but wouldn't commit to his status for Thursday's showdown with the Warriors. He's been out since January 16. With Paul back, Blake Griffin won't be quite as busy on offense, while Jamal Crawford, Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers are all going to struggle to maintain relevant fantasy value.
Paul is averaging 17.5 points, 9.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 30.9 minutes per game this season. He leads Clippers players and ranks 14th in the NBA with an 8.2 nERD.
