Orlando's C.J. Watson will receive MRI for his right Achilles
Orlando Magic point guard C.J. Watson (sore right Achilles) was not able to practice on Tuesday and he's expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
Watson had the entire All-Star break to heal, so this doesn't sound too good in regards to his status for Thursday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. If Watson is unavailable, Elfrid Payton would return to the first unit and D.J. Augustin would see more run off the bench.
Watson is averaging 10.2 points, 2.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.9 3-pointers in nine starts this season while logging 28.1 minutes per game. His -1.7 nERD is ninth on the Magic and ranks outside of the NBA's top-350 players.
