Chris Paul to re-sign with the Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers and point guard Chris Paul have verbally agreed to a long-term contract when Paul becomes a free agent this summer, per Basketball Insiders.
Paul has a player option worth $24.3 million for the 2017-2018 season, but he is expected to opt-out and sign a new deal that would be reportedly worth over $200 million over five seasons.
Paul has averaged 17.5 points, 9.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 30.9 minutes per game this season. He leads Clippers players and ranks 14th in the NBA with an 8.2 nERD.
