Wizards showing interest in Lakers' Lou Williams
The Washington Wizards have expressed interest in Los Angeles Lakers guard Lou Williams, per ESPN's Zach Lowe.
The Wizards are reportedly looking to move a protected first-round pick in exchange for Williams. Los Angeles has been actively shopping the 30-year-old, and we can expect him to find a new home before Thursday's trade deadline. D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson will both likely see increased minutes with Williams' anticipated departure.
Williams is averaging a career-high 18.6 points to go with 2.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.2 minutes per game this season. His 5.0 nERD for the year leads all Lakers players and ranks 25th in the NBA.
