Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook goes off in the All-Star game
Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook went 16-of-26 from the field, racking up 41 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 1 steal in only 20 minutes of action in Sunday's All-Star game.
Even in a game that is all about gaudy offensive numbers, with the West scoring a 192-182 win, Westbrook's production stood out. He came up just shy of taking home his third All-Star game MVP award though, losing it to Anthony Davis, who scored a record-setting 52 points.
That production looked a lot like what we've come to expect from Westbrook in usual games this year, as he is averaging a league-leading 31.1 points to go with 10.5 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game. His 8.4 nERD leads Thunder players and ranks 12th in the NBA.
