Pelicans are making Buddy Hield available in trade talks
The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly made shooting guard Buddy Hield available in trade talks.
The sixth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft would only be dealt if the Pelicans land another star to pair with Anthony Davis. Without much assets beyond Hield, Jrue Holiday and draft picks, it seems unlikely New Orleans will be able to swing a high profile trade before Thursday.
Hield has struggled his rookie season, averaging 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers per game while shooting 39.2 percent from the floor and 36.9 percent from three. His -4.3 nERD rating ranks him 449th out of 463 NBA players.
