Wesley Matthews leaves Dallas' game early with hip injury
Dallas Mavericks guard Wesley Matthews (right hip strain) will not return to Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
What It Means:
Matthews exited with a minute left in the first half and immediately went to the locker room with a noticeable limp. He was well on his way to a big game as he had 13 points with three 3-pointers in 14 minutes of action. Consider him questionable for Wednesday's game versus the New York Knicks.
Matthews had been struggling in January averaging 12.1 points per game while shooting 39.0 percent from the field entering Sunday's game.
