Clippers' Chris Paul (thumb) has X-rays come back negative
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul (thumb) underwent X-rays after Monday's game, and they came back negative.
Paul made an early exit from Monday's game against Oklahoma City with a thumb injury, and while it's encouraging that the X-rays were negative, he will undergo an MRI on Tuesday that should give us a better idea of whether he will be forced to miss additional time. If that is the case, look for Austin Rivers and Raymond Felton to once again see increased workloads.
Despite having already missed some time due to injury, Paul is having a great season. He is averaging 17.5 points, 9.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 30.9 minutes per game, and his .611 true shooting percentage is a career-high. He also ranks sixth in the NBA and first on the Clippers with an 8.7 nERD.
