Pistons mark Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) as doubtful
Detroit Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (sore left shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the Utah Jazz.
Caldwell-Pope was forced out of Thursday night's contest early in the first quarter after injuring his left shoulder. X-rays were negative, but the team is still waiting for the MRI results. Stanley Johnson and Darrun Hilliard would see a sizable boost in minutes if KCP sits.
Our models are still holding out hope, and currently project Caldwell-Pope for 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.3 3-pointers versus the Jazz. His 0.9 nERD this season ranks him 94th in the NBA and fourth on the Pistons.
