Sixers' Joel Embiid (elbow) will not play Sunday
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (minor inflammation in right elbow) will not play Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.
The Sixers next game after Sunday is on Wednesday, so this appears to also be rest oriented as much as it is a concern for his elbow swelling. However, Nerlens Noel will be back on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see what Philadelphia does once they have their entire frontcourt healthy.
Embiid is averaging 18.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks over 23.5 minutes per game. He is averaging an astonishing 27.8 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per-36 minutes and his effective field goal percentage of .505 isn't too shabby.
