Jusuf Nurkic gets benched as Nuggets lose to Brooklyn
Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic played only 17 minutes -- tallying 11 points and 3 rebounds -- of Wednesday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets, riding the bench for the final 22 minutes of the game.
Mike Malone said after the game that his team played with "no fight" in the loss, and he was visibly frustrated all night. Nikola Jokic played well in his return from a wrist injury, and with Nurkic's benching, we could see Jokic play a bigger role moving forward.
Nurkic wasn't actually especially inefficient in the loss, and ranked fourth among the 10 Nuggets players to see the floor yesterday with a 1.88 nERD, per numberFire Live.
