Derrick Rose (back) out Wednesday for Knicks, possibly facing extended absence
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose (sore lower back) will be unavailable for Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rose claimed to be bothered by fatigue in multiple areas, in addition to suffering back spasms on Tuesday, so he will receive an MRI to check on his status. This has the potential to be an extended absence considering the player in question. Brandon Jennings will see increased opportunity as the starter with Rose sidelined.
For tonight's contests against the Cavaliers, our models project Jennings to record 12.2 points, 7.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.5 3-pointers in 34.5 minutes of action. Rose's -1.2 nERD ranks last on the Knicks.
