Derrick Favors (knee) ruled out for Jazz

Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors (knee) will not play against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

What It Means:

Favors was pulled from Saturday's game due to soreness in the same left knee that has already limited him to 24.0 minutes per game in 11 outings this season. He then played on Monday after being a game-time decision, but didn't look right at all and was unable to finish for the second straight contest. Following that exit, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune said he wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz shut Favors down for a few weeks. Trey Lyles should gain the most fantasy value in the meantime, while Boris Diaw is also in line to see more minutes.

Our models currently project Lyles to turn in 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 21.4 minutes tonight versus Chicago.
