Wade Baldwin IV

Wade Baldwin IV has solid debut in Grizzlies' win

Memphis Grizzlies guard Wade Baldwin IV filled up the stat sheet in his NBA debut on Wednesday, scoring seven points with five rebounds, six assists, three steals, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

What It Means:

Baldwin is the first player since 1983-84 to post a 5x3 stat line in his debut. Also of note from this game is Baldwin and Mike Conley played at the same time for 10 minutes of the game, which almost never happened in the preseason. The 17th overall pick should continue to see big minutes off the bench behind and beside Conley.

Despite Baldwin's good night, he wasn't too efficient from the floor with a .438 effective field goal percentage. However, his assist rate from opening night was an impressive 38.1 percent.
