Rodney Hood scores 26 points, hurts ankle in Utah's loss

Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood scored 26 points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and three treys versus the Portland Blazers, but he appeared to roll his left ankle.

What It Means:

Hood was a big factor in the Jazz offense on Tuesday night as they were missing their top two scorers. He appeared to hurt his ankle but he stayed in the game, so just make sure to double check his status before Utah's next game. Luckily that isn't until Friday, so Hood has some time to recover.

Hood is coming off a season where he had a 0.2 nERD, but he started 2016-17 off right, posting a .618 effective field goal percentage (eFG%) in the opener. Last season his eFG% was .503 in 32.2 minutes per game.
