Utah's Derrick Favors still not practicing

Utah Jazz forward Derrick Favors (left knee, IT band syndrome) did not practice again on Saturday.

What It Means:

This is really concerning for Favors. He has been out of action for three weeks and no one seems to know when he'll return. At this point it looks like he is in serious danger of missing the Jazz season opener and perhaps more than that. If Favors misses opening night, Trey Lyles and Boris Diaw will be the first in line for minutes at power forward, with the former having the most upside.

In 62 games last season, Favors posted a .515 effective field goal percentage and a 55.1 true shooting percentage, both of which were three-year lows. However, he averaged career highs with 16.4 points on a 23.9 usage rate.
