E'Twaun Moore wins Pelicans' starting job over Buddy Hield

New Orleans Pelicans guard E'Twaun Moore has won the starting shooting guard job over Buddy Hield, said head coach Alvin Gentry.

What It Means:

Hield appeared to be in the driver's seat for the starting gig, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Moore is averaging 61.5 percent from deep this month in exhibition. He should help create space on the floor for Tim Frazier and Anthony Davis.

Our models expect Moore to average 8.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 3-pointers in 67 games this season on 43.4 percent shooting from the field. Hield is pegged for 13.6 points and 1.8 3-pointers on 33.3 percent shooting from deep.
