Grizzlies' Marc Gasol endures bone bruise, expected to be ready opening night
Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol's MRI on his right foot revealed a bone bruise on a different bone than the one he received surgery on.
This means Gasol should be fine for opening night, but also serves as another reminder of the inherent risk that comes with rostering him this season.
Our models expect Gasol to average 16.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 46.7 percent shooting from the field in 71 games this season.
