Knicks sign Kevin Seraphin to one-year deal

The New York Knicks have signed forward Kevin Seraphin to a one-year contract worth $2.8 million.

What It Means:

The Knicks, who finished last in our power rankings last season, are going into 2015-16 with an overhauled frontcourt. The team will feature Robin Lopez, Kristaps Porzingis, Kyle O'Quinn, Derrick Williams, and Lou Amundson, none of whom played for the team last year.

Seraphin posted a nERD score of -2.0 with the Wizards last year, which indicates that he would have made a league-average team two wins worse than .500 if he was a starter. Of the five new frontcourt players who played in the NBA last year, only Lopez had a positive nERD (3.8).
