Pacers' Myles Turner suffers concussion in a workout
Indiana Pacers power forward/center Myles Turner was diagnosed with a concussion after taking an elbow to the head during a workout this week.
This may put Turner's preseason status in question, but he should have plenty of time to recover before the regular season starts in a month. Turner is currently in the league's concussion protocol, so expect an update some time towards the end of the week.
Turner flashed some huge upside as a rookie after being taken as the 11th pick and sixth big man off the board in the 2015 draft. He averaged 10.3 points, 5.5 boards and 1.4 blocks over 22.8 minutes per game last year. That translates into 16.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per-36 minutes and while he only had a .501 effective field goal percentage, Turner's minutes and production stand to skyrocket this season as the starting center.
