Pelicans working out Lance Stephenson
Free agent guard/forward Lance Stephenson will work out for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Pelicans are looking to bring some depth to their bench, and after missing out on Ty Lawson (he signed with the Sacramento Kings), they appear to be turning their sights towards Stephenson. If a deal is made, he would be vying for minutes with Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway and E'Twaun Moore.
Stephenson put up averages of 14.2 points, 4.4 boards, 2.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 treys in his final 26 regular season contests with the Memphis Grizzlies this past season. For the year, his -1.4 nERD ranked 94th in the NBA. Stephenson led the league in triple-doubles back in 2013-14, but has seen his play fall off dramatically since.
