Blazers' Festus Ezeli undergoes injection in left knee

Portland Trail Blazers center Festus Ezeli had his left knee injected with a bone marrow aspirate concentrate on Tuesday, and he will be sidelined for the next six weeks.

What It Means:

Ezeli has had issues with his knees throughout his career, and this is the same one that required arthroscopic surgery back in February. He has an ample amount of time to be ready for the 2016-2017 season, but the checkered history is certainly cause for concern. If he's forced to miss the beginning of training camp, it certainly wouldn't bode well for Ezeli's already non-existent fantasy value.

Ezeli saw his minutes drop from 16.7 minutes in the regular season, to 8.8 minutes in the playoffs. He averaged 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks on a .548 effective field goal percentage this past year, earning a 2.3 nERD that ranked 57th in the league.
