Derrick Rose intends to 'share the ball more' with Knicks
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose plans to "share the ball more" next season.
What It Means:
"With the Bulls ... the offense really went through me and Jimmy [Butler]," Rose explained. "With the Knicks, we have [Kristaps Porzingis], we have [Carmelo Anthony], we have [Joakim Noah] rolling to the rim. We’ve got Courtney [Lee]." Actions speak louder than words, and Rose turned in a career-low 25.5 percent assist rate last season in Chicago with the Bulls, so we'll see how things play out on the court in New York.
Rose posted a -8.4 nERD last season, which was fourth-worst. He averaged 16.4 points, 4.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game, while posting career worsts in true shooting percentage (.479) and player efficiency rating (13.5) for any season in which he played more than 10 games.
