Pacers' Paul George (calf) is 50-50 to play Friday
Indiana Pacers forward Paul George (left calf strain) is "50-50" to play versus Venezuela on Friday.
George played just 10 minutes in Team USA's win against China, but it was for precautionary reasons and he even said that he's not worried about his calf. However head coach Mike Krzyzewski implied that he won't push George over the next few days, and he will be extremely limited during practice on Thursday. George's goal is to be 100 percent healthy for the beginning of the Olympics.
George -- regarded as one of the best two-way players in the league -- ended the regular season with per-game averages of 23.1 points, 7.0 boards, 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals. His .490 effective field goal percentage was right in line with his career average (.494). George checked in 23rd with a 7.0 nERD.
