LeBron expects Tristan Thompson to re-sign with Cavs
LeBron James said he fully expects Tristan Thompson to be back next season as he "means too much to [the Cavaliers'] success."
Thompson, a restricted free agent, and the Cavs have stalled in contract negotiations, but it is likely both sides come to an agreement, given the mutual interest each side has.
Thompson was important in manufacturing extra possessions for the Cavaliers. He led the NBA with 88 offensive rebounds during the postseason. In addition, Thompson had an impressive 4.9 nERD and ranked third on the team with 2.1 Defensive Win Shares.
