Celtics on verge of big trade
The Boston Celtics are rumored to be close to making a big trade, according to Sean Deveney of The Sporting News.
The Celtics were unable to swing a deal on draft day, so now they reportedly have their sights set on Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers. There doesn't appear to be any substance to these rumors, though, so we'll see if anything develops.
The Celtics finished the season ranked ninth in numberFire's Team Power Rankings last season. They were eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.
