San Antonio working to trade Boris Diaw
The San Antonio Spurs are reportedly working to trade forward/center Boris Diaw in order to clear enough cap space for Pau Gasol.
It's possible the Spurs find another way to clear the cap space needed for Gasol, but finding a club to take on the $7 million owed to Diaw for next season -- and $7.5 million that is non-guaranteed for the 2017-18 season -- is the "most likely scenario." It shouldn't be hard for the Spurs to find a suitor for Diaw, who had the 60th best nERD (2.0) last season.
Diaw started just four games last year (76 total games), but his per 36 minute averages were solid (12.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists) and his .582 true shooting percentage was above his .549 career mark.
