Evan Turner signs with Trail Blazers, told he will start
Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Evan Turner was told he will start next to Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum next year after agreeing to a four-year, $70 million deal on Friday.
Turner's main contribution with the first unit will be on the defensive side of the ball and this would mean Moe Harkless is probably headed elsewhere. It will be interesting to see what the addition of Turner means for the likes of Al-Farouq Aminu and Allen Crabbe.
In 81 games played last season (12 starts), Turner averaged 28.0 minutes and put up 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 steals. He had a .469 effective field goal percentage and his -1.2 nERD ranked 92nd in the league.
