Hawks make strong connection with Dwight Howard
The Atlanta Hawks made a strong connection with center Dwight Howard in their meeting, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Wojnarowski also noted that there was some "traction" between the two sides, so it appears as though the Hawks are among the favorites to sign Howard. However, Howard has other teams gunning for his services as well, such as the Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics, who are both believed to be able to bring the big man in for a meeting.
Howard quietly had a strong year last season, ranking 46th in the league with a 3.6 nERD, while his 20.2 percent total rebound rate was his best since leaving Orlando, and his .604 true shooting percentage was his best since 2010.
