Jarrett Jack

Brooklyn officially waives Jarrett Jack

The Brooklyn Nets have officially waived Jarrett Jack.

What It Means:

The Nets tried to deal Jack in a trade, but a 32-year-old guard coming off a torn ACL isn't a coveted asset. Brooklyn will likely give guard Shane Larkin, Caris LeVert and Isaiah Whitehead big minutes next year. The Nets also signed point guard Yogi Ferrell as an undrafted free agent, and his chances of making the team improve significantly with Jack's release.

Jack was getting 32.1 minutes per game last season and averaging 12.8 points, 4.3 boards and 7.4 assists per night. He should land somewhere else in a backup role, but he will not see those kind of minutes.
