Harrison Barnes says he wants to return to Golden State
Golden State Warriors restricted free agent Harrison Barnes said that he would like to resign with the Warriors this summer.
What It Means:
Barnes is bound to sign a big deal during free agency, and the Warriors will have 72 hours to match any deal Barnes gets. However, if the Warriors are successful in signing Kevin Durant, Barnes might want to start packing soon thereafter. He was pretty bad in the last three games of the NBA Finals, and he may have hurt his chances of any team giving him the max, let alone a Warriors team in pursuit of Durant.
Barnes had a nERD of 2.2 this past season, averaging 11.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 30.9 minutes per game. He will end up being one of the more hotly debated free agents this summer, especially if a team gives him max money.
