Nicolas Batum could be Warriors' backup plan in free agency
If the Golden State Warriors can't sign Kevin Durant, they are expected to look at free-agent forward Nicolas Batum.
Batum would be a strong fit in Golden State at the small forward position. He is a strong defender and can create for himself and others. He is an excellent passer which is probably one of the reasons the Warriors are interested, but he might demand a max, or very close to max offer in this upcoming year of salary cap explosion.
Batum ranked 85th in the league with a -0.5 nERD in 70 games played this season. He averaged 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.0 3-pointers on a 50.6 Effective Field Goal Percentage and career-high 21.4 Usage Rate.
